Idaho Red Cedar Split Rail is stunningly attractive, yet incredibly durable. This material is gleaned from the heartwood of shell red cedar logs which are all heart, but have no commercial value except to make short length products such as this great fencing or cedar roofing materials. Posts are notched to fit into the slot in the post. 10' section, available in 2 hole and 3 hole posts and gates. Mountain Rail is from the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia. This durable yet beautiful split rail consists of a tough post of Black Locust (minimum life expectancy in the ground of 25 yr.) and a rail of Eastern Hemlock. The paddle tip rails by-pass in each line post and make a rustic and attractive 10' section. Available in 2 hole and 3 hole posts and gates. Often referred to as a Stack Fence, Worm Fence or Battlefield Fence, this typical early pioneer fencing offers both natural beauty and rustic charm. Installations easy and because no post hole drilling is required, this stack style is especially popular in difficult soils and rocky terrain.
